Music & Dancing Under the Stars
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie down in Hollywood, Florida. Five nights a week, you’ll find an amazingly madcap free live concert at the Hollywood Beach Theatre on the Broadwalk, a sweet outdoor venue and the only one in Broward County. There are benches to sit on while listening to the live bands, but why not get up and dance? Also, each night has a theme to it. Mondays are often Dancing Under the Stars with Nat Kaye, Jack Stevens, or Larry Roberts. Tuesdays might be R & B or Rockabilly. Like the legendary band The Doors? There just might be a tribute band playing on Wednesdays or the nostalgic sounds of the Lu White Band, which plays Golden Oldies and Rock-n-Roll. A Classic Rock band like White Noise or the Neo-swing rhythms of Ever So Klever just might be headlining on a Friday night. On Saturdays, what about the Blues of Bobby Nathan or the Classic Hits of Holly & the Hubcaps or Reggae with the Roots Shakedown? Depending on your flavor, pick and choose which night you come out and dance—or hustle on over every night! And can you believe this is all free?
Many of the bands feature family-friendly music, especially on Tuesdays when the theme is often Dancing in the Moonlight. Concerts are held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. For more information on the Hollywood Beach Theatre music events and the latest line-up of bands, go to http://www.visithollywoodfl.org/events.aspx or call 954-924-2980.
