Christmas Near the Beach

Get ready to welcome Santa Claus to Hollywood Beach, because Christmas is coming to Florida! The 6th annual Christmas on the Beach has been tweaked a bit for 2012, and even has a slightly new name—Christmas NEAR the Beach. Having outgrown the Hollywood Beach Theatre venue, the new site for this family-friendly holiday variety show, which includes performances by talented dancers, singers, and musicians, is Arts Park at Young Circle, so make a note of it on your calendar. While the scene has changed, the spirit of the season is forever the same. Santa Claus will arrive this year via the Hollywood Fire Rescue, and there will be photo opportunities for all boys and girls who would like to tell him what they want for Christmas—and whether they’ve been naughty or nice.
In addition to the jolly old elf in red, enjoy the tuneful music of Austin Adamec. There will also be an adorable mini-ballet depicting the Christmas Story courtesy of Expressions of Joy, a local dance academy. In addition, be sure to get ready to move and groove to the sounds of the Angel Tones Steel Drum Band, a popular feature at Christmas Near the Beach.
