6th Annual Boo Bash!
The 6th annual Boo Bash is a not so scary Halloween event with activities the whole family can enjoy, from tots to tweens to teens. It takes place on Friday, October 26, and goes from 7 to 10 p.m. Hobgoblins will howl with ghoulish glee for this free event sponsored by the City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts. The Boo Bash is a creep-tastic way to get in some Florida Halloween fun before the spine-chilling craziness of the actual day. Held at Arts Park at Young Circle, trick or treaters are encouraged to take on the “not so scary” spooky trail. There will also be a bloodcurdling costume contest, so be sure to get decked out in your most hauntingly creative attire. In the past, prizes have gone to costumes in a variety of categories including Most Original, Scariest, and Funniest. The contest is sponsored by the Hollywood Lakes Section Civic Association.
And that’s not all! Some of the terrifyingly delightful family activities include gruesome face painting and cobweb-covered games. Rounding out the Hollywood Beach All Hallow’s Eve fun is a free concert by The Monsters, so get ready to boogie like a zombie! For more information on the 6th Annual Boo Bash, call 954-921-3500.
